A sustainable way of working is deeply rooted in our values and indispensable for us. This is the reason, why we would like to tell you a little more about our products, our materials and our manufacturing process. 

No. 4 - Drop 1

  • Soothing Dress

    Material:

    The material of the Soothing Dress was sourced from a local yarn supplier in Berlin and used in previous collections. It consists of 70 % Cotton and 30 % Polyacryl. Unfortunately it is very difficult to find knitting yarn that does not include synthetic fibres as they are necessary for the stability of the thread. The material of the decorative stitching is made from 100 % cotton.

    Thanks to its knitted structure, this piece is zero waste.

    Production process:

    The dress was designed by the W1P Studios Team together. Charlotte took care of pattern development and the prototyping process. Once satisfied with the fit, she produced it. It is made on an industrial knitting machine. Anaëlle sewed the pieces together, added the decorative stitching by hand as well as all the finishing touches. All of the production steps took place in our Berlin-Mitte studio.

  • Sunrays Suit

    Material:

    The material of the sunrays suit is deadstock from Berlin and out of well natural fibres. The lining is deadstock too and consists of 100 % viscose.

    The material was transported only with public transport within Berlin to save carbon emissions.

    Production process:

    The Suit was designed together by the W1P Studios team. Anaëlle developed the pattern as well as cut and sewed the suit together with Chanti locally in our Berlin-Mitte studio.

  • Burnout Dress

    Material:

    The burnout dress is made from 100 % Tencel, which is a cellulose fibre that is sustainable. Particularly this Tencel was produced from sustainably sourced wood. It is also biodegradable.

    Production process:

    The dress was collectively designed by the W1P Studios team. Charlotte then developed the print. The fabric printed environmentally friendly with the most water saving technique in the Netherlands. Shipped back to Germany, Anaëlle developed the pattern and cut the fabric in our Berlin-Mitte studio. She sewed it together and added the finishing touches ther as well.

  • Healing Dress

    Material:

    This piece is predominantly made from deadstock fabric from Berlin that is out of organic cotton. The knitted parts are sourced from a local yarn supplier in Berlin and used in previous collections. It consists of 70 % Cotton and 30 % Polyacryl.

    The material was transported only with public transport within Berlin to save carbon emissions.

    Production process:

    The Healing Dress was designed by W1P Studios. Anaëlle developed the pattern, cut and sewed the fabric in our Berlin-Mitte studio. Charlotte developed the knitted parts on an industrial knitting machine in our studio too. Finally, Anaëlle added the finishing touches.

  • Dawn Set

    Material:

    The Dawn Set is made from secondhand fabric and is therefore a unique piece. It consists out of cotton.

    The material was transported only with public transport within Berlin to save carbon emissions.

    Production process:

    The Dawn Set was designed collectively by the W1P Studios team. Anaëlle developed the pattern. During the cutting and sewing process, she had help from Chanti. They added the finishing touches together. The whole set was produced locally in our Berlin-Mitte Studio.

  • Discrepancy Sweater

    Material:

    The discrepancy sweater consists out of two yarns. One is 100 % out of organic cotton. The other one is a mix out of natural fibres: 70 % mohair and 30 % silk.

    This piece is zero waste.

    Production process:

    The Discrepancy Sweater was designed together by the W1P Studios team. Melina developed the pattern and handknit the sweater in the South of Germany. Transported back to Berlin by train to save carbon emissions, she added the finishing touches in our Berlin-Mitte Studio.

No. 3

  • Insomnia Blazer

    Material:

    The material was partially second hand deadstock and partially sponsored* deadstock. The lining is 100% viscose, it is also deadstock.

    Production process:

    The whole W1P-Team designed the blazer, Anaëlle and Charlotte developed the pattern and cut the fabric together with Adrian. Afterwards, Anaëlle and Thekla sewed it as well as added the finishing touches in our Berlin-Mitte studio.

  • Transition Set

    Material:

    The Transition Set consists 100 % out of tencel which is a cellulose fibre that is sustainable. Particularly this tencel was produced from sustainably sourced wood, It is also biodegradable.

    Production process:

    The Transition Set was designed in Berlin by W1P. Charlotte developed the print, it was then environmentally friendly printed with the most water saving technique in the Netherlands. Anaëlle and Melina cut the fabric for both pieces in Berlin and sewed the skirt in our Berlin-Mitte studio. The Transition Hoodie was sewed in Bielefeld by Stefanie.

  • Pain Set

    Material:

    The material was sourced from a local yarn manufacturer in Berlin. W1P tried to choose a yarn that incorporates as little synthetic fibres as possible - this consists of 40 % silk, 40 % cotton, 20 % microfibre. The elastic for the waistband of the Pain Skirt is secondhand.

    Production process:

    The set was designed by all three of us. After sourcing the material, it was only transported with public transport within Berlin to save carbon emissions. Charlotte then knit the top with a fine knitting machine in our atelier in Berlin-Mitte. The finishing touches were made by Charlotte and Anaëlle.

  • Enthusiasm Set

    Material:

    The material of the enthusiasm set was sourced from a local yarn supplier in Berlin and used in previous collections. It consists of 70 % Cotton and 30 % Polyacryl. Unfortunately it is very difficult to find knitting yarn that does not include synthetic fibres as they are necessary for the stability of the thread.

    Production process:

    It was designed by all three of us and afterwards it was manufactured in our Berlin-Mitte studio on a fine knitting machine by Charlotte. Melina anf Charlotte added the finishing touches together.

  • Grace Coat

    Material:

    This pieces is made out of 100 % deadstock linen that was sponsored* to W1P.

    Production process:

    The Grace coat was designed by W1P. Anaëlle and Melina developed the pattern together. The material was transported only with public transport within Berlin to save carbon emissions. The coat was cut and sewn by Anaëlle.

  • Liberation Coat

    Material:

    The upper faberic is 100 % Tencel which is a cellulose fibre that comes from sustainably grown wood from Europe. The linig is deadstock therefore it is believed to be 100 % Polyester.

    Production process:

    The Liberation Coat was designed by the W1P-Team. Charlotte developed the print. It was printed environmentally friendly in the Netherlands and afterwards shipped to Berlin. Next, it was cut by Anaëlle and Adrian. Anaëlle also sewed it with the help of Thekla in our Berlin-Mitte studio.

  • Severity Coat

    Material:

    The upper fabric of the severity coat consists out of 90% wool and 10% cashmere. It is secondhand deadstock from Berlin. The lining is 100 % Tencel. In particular, this environmentally friendly fibre is made out of sustainably sourced wood and is also biodegradable.

    Production Process:

    As usual, this piece was designed by the W1P founders. Anaëlle and Melina developed the pattern while Charlotte took care of the print of the lining. It was printed in an environmentally friendly printing studio in the Netherlands. Moreover, the digital printing technique is the most water-saving printing technology there is at the moment. The fabric was then shipped to Berlin. Melina and Anaëlle cut the fabric and sewed it together in our Berlin-Mitte studio. The finishing touches were made by Thekla.

  • Comfort Set Purple

    Material:

    This set is made from 100% hemp fabric which was deadstock and kindly sponsored* to W1P. Hemp is also biodegradable and one of the most sustainable fibres as it requires little water. Another benefit is, that it replenishes the soil with nutrients.

    The rubber band within the waistband of the comfort pants is secondhand.

    Production process:

    This set was designed by W1P in Berlin. Anaëlle took care of the pattern development as well as the sewing. It was locally produced in Berlin.

  • Comfort Set White

    Material:

    The material of this set is deadstock, which is the reason why it is believed to be a wool-cashmere mix.

    The rubber band within the waistband of the pants is secondhand.

    Production Process:

    All three of us worked on the design. Afterwards, Anaëlle developed the pattern, cut the fabric and sewed it together with the help of Adrian in Berlin.

  • Sensitivity Top

    Material:

    The sensitivity top is made out of 100 % cotton. The yarn is secondhand and was locally sourced in Berlin.

    Production Process:

    W1P designed the top together. Anaëlle crocheted it by hand in our Berlin-Mitte studio. Afterwards, Melina dyed it by hand also in Berlin thus the top had only short transportation ways which have been completed with public transport to reduce the carbon emissions of the top.

  • Heartburn Pants

    Material:

    The fabric of the heartburn pants is 100 % viscose whihc was made out of a cellulose fibre from bamboo. Bamboo is sustainable as it needs little water, grows very fast and needs no pestizides.

    The buckle of the pants is secondhand.

    Production Process:

    After W1P finalized the design together, Charlotte developed the print and printed it with the water-saving technique of the digital print locally in Berlin. The pattern was developed by Anaëlle. The Pants were cut and sewn by Anaëlle and Melina in Berlin.

  • Recommencement Dress

    Material:

    the material is 100 % Tencel made from sustainably sourced wood. The fibre is biodegradable too.

    Production Process:

    The dress was designed by all three of us. Furthermore, Charlotte developed the print. The dress got printed in an environmentally friendly company in the Netherlands with the most sustainable and water-saving printing technique there is. Then it was shipped to Berlin. Anaëlle developed the pattern. The dress was cut and sewn by Anaëlle and Melina in our Berlin-Mitte studio.

  • Moodswing Dress

    Material:

    The moodswing dress is made from secondhand deadstock fabric.

    Production Process:

    All three founders of W1P worked on the design together, Anaëlle and Melina developed the pattern and sewed it together in Berlin.

  • Inbetween Dress

    Material:

    The material of the inbetween dress consists of 100 % linen that is deadstock and was kindly sponsored* to W1P.

    Production Process:

    The dress was designed together by the W1P-Team. Anaëlle and Melina developed the pattern. The two of them also cut and sewed it in our Berlin-Mitte studio.

  • Restless Skirt

    Material:

    The skirt is made out of secondhand deadstock yarn. It is believed to be polyacryl.

    For the waistband W1P used a secondhand rubberband.

    Production Process:

    The skirt was designed by all three of us. Afterwards, Charlotte knitted it with a knitting machine in our Berlin-Mitte studio. The finishing touches were done by hand.

  • Lightness Top

    Material:

    The material of this top is deadstock. The upper material is 100 % cotton, the straps are believed to be out of polyacryl.

    Production Process:

    W1P decided on the design together. Then the top was knit by hand in Bielefeld. Charlotte produced the straps with a knitting machine in Berlin. Next, Melina added the finishing touches in the south of Germany. During the production process, the top was always transported by train to save carbon emissions.

  • Vision Blouse

    Material:

    The vision blouse is out of 100 % tencel made from sustainably grown wood.

    Production Process:

    It was designed by all three of us. Charlotte took care of the print. The blouse got printed environmentally friendly with the most water-saving technique in the Netherlands. Its pattern was developed by Anaëlle. She cut the fabric together with Melina. Afterwards, it was sewn by Saskia in Bielefeld and sent back to Berlin.

  • Optimism Top Print

    Material:

    The optimism Top print is made out of 100 % tencel from sustainably grown wood.

    Process:

    The Optimsm Top Print was developed by W1P Studios, Charlotte designed the print which was printed sustainably onto fabric in the Netherlands. Anaëlle took care of the print, cut the fabric and sewed it in our beloved Berlin-Mitte studio.

Zero Waste Accessoires

  • Zero Waste Bag Big

    Material:

    The bag is made out of deadstock* organza and deadstock sewing thread.

    Production process:

    The whole bag was produced by Anaëlle and Chanti in our studio in Berlin-Mitte. They cut the fabric together, sewed it and then crocheted the bag by hand.

  • Zero Waste Bag Blue

    Material:

    Both yarns are deadstock from previous collections and prototypes. We already had them in our material depot in Berlin. The foil of the print is also deadstock from our AW21 collection.

    Production process:

    The bag was crocheted by hand by Anaëlle in our Studio in Berlin-Mitte. She also added the transfer print.

  • Zero Waste Hair Tie

    Material:

    The material of the zero waste hair tie is deadstock from previous collections. its crochet technique allows no production waste.

    Production process:

    The hair tie was completely produced by hand in our Berlin Studio by Anaëlle and Chanti.

  • Multicoloured Zero Waste Bag

    Material:

    This bag is made of deadstock yarn. Some of it is from previous collections, some is also from our material suppliers. Since it is crocheted, there is no waste material.

    Production process:

    This bag was produced by hand by Chanti in our studio in Berlin-Mitte.

  • Trousers With Organic Pattern

    Material:

    These trousers consist of two different materials which are both deadstock*, one is from a certain deadstock depot in Berlin and thus had short transport distances. The hook and the zipper are second hand and also from Berlin.

    Production process:

    All three of us developed the design of these trousers together. They were cut by Anaëlle and Charlotte and sewn by Melina and Anaëlle in our Berlin-Mitte studio.

  • Green Suit

    Material:

    Both the upper material and the lining of this Blazer are made out of deadstock* from Germany. The upper material has little optical mistakes in the fabric (e.g. weaving mistake), which make it even more unique. Especially the lining comes from a depot in Berlin and therefore had very short transport distances.

    The trousers consist 100% out of deadstock* from Germany. Both, the zipper and the hook are second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    The suit was designed by us three, Anaëlle then developed the pattern in our studio in Berlin-Mitte. It was cut and sewn in the same space by Charlotte and Anaëlle.

  • Crochet Tops

    Material:

    The materials of the crochet tops vary: The white ones are made out of 2nd hand and deadstock wool which consist of 100% cotton. The lilac one is made out of acrylic wool. The wool of the green and the orange one’s are 2nd hand. Most of the wool was found in a local shop and on fleamarkets in Mexico City, where one of us was living for a while.

    Production process:

    The design was developed by W1P in Berlin. They were made in a low-waste-process by hand by Melina, Anaëlle and Charlotte.

  • Chunky Knit Sweater

    Material:

    This piece is not made out of deastock, but mainly out of natural materials and fibres so that it potentially can be recycled in the future.

    Production process:

    After designing it together, the sweater was handknit by Melina in the south of Germany. Afterwards, she brought it to Berlin by train for the finishing touches in our studio in Berlin-Mitte.

  • Wavy Knit Top

    Material:

    The material comes from a local yarn shop in Berlin, therefore it had short transport distances.

    Production process:

    The design was developed by all three of us. Charlotte then knit the piece on a knitting machine in Berlin. Thanks to the nature of knitting, there was only a very small amount of waste created during the production process.

  • Beaded Print Trousers

    Material:

    The material of these pants is 100% viscose made from bamboo. Compared to the conventional viscose, which is mostly made of synthetic man-made fibers and is said to resemble cotton, ours is a sustainable alternative. Bamboo is not only a natural material, but also grows abundantly.

    For the print, we chose the most water-efficient and sustainable printing process that is currently available.

    The lining in the pants comes from a deadstock-depot, and the button and zipper are also second hand. Only the beads were purchased through Etsy and shipped from England.

    Apart from the bamboo and the beads, all materials come from Berlin and thus had short transport distances.

    Production process:

    The pants were lovingly developed by us in our working spaces in Berlin. Printed, sewn and embroidered by hand, they were made by Anaëlle and Charlotte.

  • Beaded Pants

    Material:

    These pants are 100% wool fabric from a deadstock depot* in southern Germany. The zipper and the button are second hand from Berlin. Only the beads were bought via Etsy and delivered from England.

    Production process:

    The pants were designed in Berlin by the three of us together. It was developed, cut and sewn by Anaëlle and Melina in our Berlin studio. Finally, Anaëlle embroidered them by hand.

  • Plissé Shorts

    Material:

    For these pants we used a deadstock* pleated fabric. The elastic is second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    The design was developed by W1P in Berlin. It was cut and sewn by Anaelle and Melina in our Berlin studio with short transport distances.

  • Wide Leg Trousers

    Material:

    The outer fabric of these pants comes second hand from the "Textilhafen" of the "Berliner Stadtmission". The lining fabric is from Deadstock*. Both we have picked up here in Berlin by public transport and so emissions are saved during transport.

    The button and zipper are second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    Designed together by W1P, Anaëlle and Melina developed the pattern, cut the fabric and sewed the pants in our Berlin studio.

  • Neopren Pants With Organic Stitching

    Material:

    The neoprene material comes from deadstock*, which was sponsored to us. It is not only comfortable, but also very durable and long lasting. Both the button and the zipper are second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    All three founders of W1P Studios worked on the design. Anaëlle took care of the pattern development, cutting, stitching and sewing. Like the other collection pieces, this one was also created in our Berlin studio with short transport distances, mainly made by public transport.

  • Cropped Neopren Pants

    Material:

    We got the fabric from a deadstock depot* from Berlin. The zipper and the button are second hand also from Berlin.

    Production process:

    The pants were developed and produced in the Berlin workspaces of W1P Studios. The design comes from all three founders, the pattern is from Anaëlle. She also cut and sewed the pants.

  • Neporen Shorts

    Material:

    The short is made from deadstock*. All other ingredients, like the button and the zipper are second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    Designed as the team of three, Anaëlle then took over the pattern development, cutting and sewing of the pants.

  • Knitted Vest with W1P Logo

    Material:

    This sweater consists of 50% of a mohair yarn, which we got second hand through the "Textilhafen" of the "Berliner Stadtmission". The other half we bought in addition, it was important to us to make sure that it consists of a natural fiber, so that it can be recycled if necessary.

    The foil used for the print is second hand. Although it is mainly made of PU, it is OekoTex Standard 100 Class 1 certified and has the Veganok seal for ethical and vegan products.

    Production process:

    After all three founders of W1P created the design, the sweater was hand-knitted by Ulrike in Bielefeld. There it was transported both trips by train.

    The logo design was created, layouted and cut out by Charlotte. Anaëlle finally applied it to the sweater.

  • Knitted Top with Pearl Details

    Material:

    For this shirt we used a deadstock* mohair yarn from Berlin. We bought the beads in addition here in Berlin. Both materials were transported by public transport and thus had short and environmentally friendly transport routes.

    Production process:

    Designed by W1P in Berlin, Melina created the pattern and knitted the top by hand. Then she embroidered it with the beads.

  • Knitted Striped Longsleeve

    Material:

    50% of the wool used comes from the "Textilhafen" of the "Berliner Stadtmission" and is therefore second hand. The other half we have bought here in Berlin.

    Production process:

    After finalizing the design, a process that involved all three founders of W1P, Melina designed the pattern for it and hand-knitted the sweater.

  • Longsleeve With Elastic Strings

    Material:

    The fabric of this shirt is deadstock*. The elastics are also deadstock* from another German brand. We got the stoppers second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    Like the other collection pieces, it was designed by Anaëlle, Charlotte and Melina together. Anaëlle created the pattern and cut and tailored the top.

  • Peace Silk Top

    Material:

    For this blouse was used cruelty free material "Peace Silk", which was produced in India. No animals were killed in the production process of this sustainable silk.

    The buttons are second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    Designed together by W1P, Anaëlle has created the pattern. Together with Charlotte she cut it and then stitched it.

  • Peace Silk Blouse

    Material:

    The material for this blouse is made from Indian Peace Silk, which means that no animals were killed in the silk production process. This process is more conscious of responsibility and cruelty free.

    We then printed it by using the most water saving and therefore currently most sustainable printing process, digital printing.

    The buttons of the blouse and the foil are second hand, the last also has the certifications of Oekotex 100 and Veganok.

    Production process:

    This design was created together by W1P. Charlotte developed the print as well as the logo and printed the fabric. Anaëlle took care of the pattern and cutting. She also finished the blouse by sewing it together.

  • Layered Organza Top with Zipper

    Material:

    Both the material and the zipper of this top are second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    W1P designed this top. Anaëlle and Charlotte folded the fabric into layers , Melina and Anaëlle cut it in W1P's Berlin studio. Anaëlle was responsible for sewing the top.

  • Organza Vest

    Material:

    The top material of the vest is from deadstock*. The stoppers are second hand from Berlin.

    Production process:

    After W1P designed the vest together, Anaëlle created the pattern, cut it and sewed it in Berlin.

  • Puffy Vest

    Material:

    This vest is made of deadstock* material. The absorbent cotton and all other trimmings like the buttons, the zipper and the hooks are second hand from Berlin. Only the cuff material was additionally bought.

    Production process:

    The design was created by the W1P team together. Anaëlle developed the pattern, cut the vest and sewed it together with Melina in W1P's Berlin studio.

  • Peace Silk Scarf

    Material:

    This cloth is made of Indian Peace Silk, where no animals were killed in the silk production.

    It was then sustainably printed in Berlin using digital printing.

    Production process:

    Like all the other pieces, the W1P team has designed this scarf. Charlotte developed the print and printed the fabric. Then it was hemmed by hand by Marlina.

  • Handmade asymmetrical crop top in ivory

    Material:

    Both of the yarns of this top are secondhand.

    Production Process:

    W1P designed this top. It was then handknit by Melina in Berlin.
